What comes across

Keep the data that matters to you.

Keep records connected

Keep deals linked to contacts and companies, and activities linked to their records in Freshsales CRM.

Your custom fields come with you

We find your custom fields in Close CRM and plan how their values will travel to Freshsales CRM before migrating their records.

Bring your activity history

Your activity history arrives on the record it belongs to. This page names which types transfer and any limit on them.

Match owners, pipelines and stages

We match them to your Freshsales CRM users and stages.

Review changes before the run

The plan flags values that change during migration. The original value comes across beside the converted one.

Keep data with no matching field

Where possible, we create a field in Freshsales CRM for data with no matching field.

Before you move

Prepare Freshsales for your Close records

We review the fields, existing stages and record owners with you before the run. Your Close leads become accounts, with contacts and opportunities carried beneath them.

The connection uses your Freshsales API key and account address from Profile Settings, API Settings. We review access and setup before writing records.

Limits and changes

Know what changes and what stays behind.

Each row explains a limit and what you can do about it. Open the details for the reason and supporting source.

Needs setup or a plan change

Freshsales fields and stages need review before the run

View detailsHide details

We match existing stages and do not create pipelines. Field creation on accounts, contacts and deals still needs confirmation against your account.

We review the destination setup with you before migrating records.

Moves with changes

Some field values arrive as text

View detailsHide details

Our connector does not create date or checkbox fields. It carries those values as text on supported records, and strips formatting from rich text.

The plan identifies these changes so you can decide which values to bring.

Notes and appointments do not keep their original author

View detailsHide details

We write these records through the connected Freshsales user. Notes are dated when we write them, and their text is carried without rich formatting.

The content travels, but do not treat the new author and note date as the original audit history.

An activity keeps one parent record

View detailsHide details

Our Freshsales destination links a note, task or appointment to one contact, deal or account, in that order of preference.

The activity remains attached to the selected migrated record. Review any extra relationships before cutover.

A contact's one name is split on the last space

View detailsHide details

Close keeps a single name on a contact where Freshsales CRM keeps a first and a last, so we split on the last space. That is right for Mary Anne Evans and wrong for Ludwig van der Berg. Close stores one string, so the information needed to do better is not in it.

Stays in the source CRM

Call and email records stay in your source CRM

View detailsHide details

Our Freshsales destination does not write phone calls or email conversations.

The supported tasks and meeting records listed above can still travel.

Custom modules, products and line items are outside this migration

View detailsHide details

Our Freshsales connector does not carry these records in either direction.

Accounts, contacts, deals, notes and tasks are included in the supported scope.

Marketing consent is not migrated

View detailsHide details

We do not read or write subscription status through our Freshsales connector.

Review consent separately before using the destination for marketing.

Your attachments stay in Close CRM

View detailsHide details

Close does keep files. What it does not document is whether the URL it serves the bytes from can be fetched with an API credential rather than a browser session, and we will not carry bytes we have no confirmed way to read. It is on your plan before you pay rather than a surprise after the run.

FAQ

Questions about moving Close CRM to Freshsales CRM

Will my custom fields arrive as the same field types?

We bring supported values onto the matching records. Some types arrive as text, and Freshsales field setup needs review before the run. The plan shows what each value becomes.

Do calls and emails come across?

No. This migration does not write call or email records into Freshsales. Keep access to that history in your source CRM.

What happens to my pipelines?

We match deals to existing Freshsales stages. We do not create pipelines or stages, so we review the destination funnel and deal status with you first.

Who actually runs the migration?

We run the migration and stay reachable. Connect Close for the free assessment and price, then Freshsales to complete the plan. Nothing moves until you ask.

Can I keep working in Close while this happens?

Yes. We only read Close and never write back to it. Keep working while you check the results, then bring across the latest changes before switching over.

What if the result is not what I expected?

You can undo the migration, correct the issue and run again. Created fields, shared catalogue data and any other items listed as retained stay in place.

What does it cost?

One payment, based on the records that move. The free assessment of Close gives you the exact count and price before you commit. Payment is by invoice, with no subscription.
