What comes across

Keep the data that matters to you.

Keep records connected

Keep deals linked to contacts and companies, and activities linked to their records in HubSpot CRM.

Your custom fields come with you

We find your custom fields in Attio CRM and plan how their values will travel to HubSpot CRM before migrating their records.

Bring your activity history

Your activity history arrives on the record it belongs to. This page names which types transfer and any limit on them.

Match owners, pipelines and stages

We match them to your HubSpot CRM users and stages.

Review changes before the run

The plan flags values that change during migration. The original value comes across beside the converted one.

Keep data with no matching field

Where possible, we create a field in HubSpot CRM for data with no matching field.

A Contacts plan showing standard fields, a custom field, usage percentages and migration switches.

Needs setup or a plan change

Your Attio objects need a HubSpot Enterprise subscription

View detailsHide details

A custom object in HubSpot is an Enterprise feature. If your workspace holds objects of its own beyond companies, people and deals, their records need an Enterprise seat to land in, and on any lower subscription there is nothing for them to become. Your companies, people, deals, notes, tasks and files need no custom object and land on any plan.

Verified against knowledge.hubspot.com

The free assessment tells you which of your objects this affects before you commit.

How many custom properties HubSpot will hold depends on your plan

View detailsHide details

HubSpot caps custom properties per object, and the cap moves with your subscription. An Attio workspace that has grown a lot of attributes of its own can exceed it.

Verified against knowledge.hubspot.com

We count yours in the free assessment and show you the number against your plan's limit, so you can decide what to bring rather than find out during the run.

Missing required fields can block records

View detailsHide details

HubSpot rejects records that are missing fields your admin requires. Some fields are required only when another field has a particular value. We report which field is missing so you can correct it.

Verified against developers.hubspot.com

We report missing required fields during the migration. The assessment does not check these rules. Fill in the missing values in your source CRM or ask your HubSpot admin to change the rule, then we retry without duplicating records.

Linking records requires Edit Associations permission

View detailsHide details

HubSpot calls links between records associations, such as a deal linked to a company. Without Edit Associations permission, HubSpot blocks us from creating those links.

Verified against developers.hubspot.com

Connect using a HubSpot user with Edit Associations permission. If you have already connected, ask your admin to grant that user the permission. We can then retry the missing links.

Moves with changes

Every deal value arrives in one currency

View detailsHide details

Attio fixes a currency on the attribute rather than on the record, and its own reference says the code is shared among all values of that attribute and cannot be overridden for one record. So every deal value arrives in that one currency. If you traded in more than one, that is a thing to put right in HubSpot CRM afterwards rather than something this migration can recover.

Verified against docs.attio.com

Every figure comes across intact. If you traded in more than one currency, the code is the thing to put right afterwards.

Stays in the source CRM

Attio CRM has no call, email or meeting to hand over

View detailsHide details

Attio has no record for a call, an email or a meeting. What it keeps instead is a handful of interaction attributes on a person or a company, first and last email, and first, last and next calendar event. Those are timestamps the Attio system maintains and nothing can write, which is a different thing from a history of who spoke to whom. So there is nothing to hand over, and HubSpot CRM's calls, emails and meetings will be empty of anything from before the migration.

Verified against docs.attio.com

Your notes, your tasks and the files attached to your records are the history that does come with you.

Nobody owned your companies

View detailsHide details

Attio's writeable attributes for a company carry no owner. Ownership lives on the deal in Attio. So HubSpot CRM's owner field on those records has nothing in your workspace to read, and you decide who inherits them rather than us guessing.

Verified against docs.attio.com

You name who inherits them rather than us guessing, and every other field on those records comes across.

FAQ

Questions about moving Attio CRM to HubSpot CRM

What happens to my call and meeting history?

There is none to move, and the reason is Attio's shape rather than ours. Attio has no record for a call, an email or a meeting. What it keeps instead is a handful of interaction timestamps on a person or a company, first and last email and first, last and next calendar event, which the Attio system maintains and nothing can write. So there is nothing to hand over one at a time. HubSpot has a place for calls, emails and meetings, and it will be empty of your Attio history. Your notes and tasks come across in full.

Will the attributes I added in Attio come across?

Yes. The free assessment finds them in your workspace, and they are created as custom properties on the matching HubSpot object before records are migrated. You see that on your plan before anything runs, and you can drop the attributes nobody fills in any more rather than carry them over.

What about the objects I added to my workspace?

Each one becomes a HubSpot custom object, with its records and the attributes you use on them. That needs an Enterprise subscription, since HubSpot keeps custom objects to that tier, and the free assessment tells you how many of your objects this affects before you commit.

What happens to my deal stages?

Attio keeps one ordered stage list and HubSpot keeps pipelines, so your one list is created in HubSpot as one pipeline with your stages on it. Every deal arrives in the stage it was in. If you want your deals split across several HubSpot pipelines afterwards, that is a change you make in HubSpot rather than something this migration guesses at.

Who owns my companies and contacts afterwards?

Attio models ownership on the deal and has no owner on a company or a person, so there is nothing in your workspace to fill HubSpot's owner field on those records. Your deal owners come across and are matched to your HubSpot owners by email. On companies and contacts you name who they should belong to, rather than us inventing an answer.

What about products and the value on my deals?

An Attio deal carries a single value rather than priced lines, and Attio ships no catalogue object, so there is no product list and there are no line items to bring. The value on each deal comes across. One thing worth knowing is that an Attio workspace holds one currency per attribute rather than one per record, so every deal arrives in that same currency.

Do I have to build a field map?

No. We work out what each value becomes, so nobody builds a field map. You review the plan before the migration runs. An Attio attribute with no native home in HubSpot can be brought along as a new property instead of being left behind.

Who actually runs the migration?

We run the migration and stay reachable. Connect Attio for the free assessment and price, then HubSpot to complete the plan. Nothing moves until you ask.

Can I keep working in Attio while this happens?

Yes. We only read Attio and never write back to it. Keep working while you check the results, then bring across the latest changes before switching over.

What if the result is not what I expected?

You can undo the migration, correct the issue and run again. Created fields, shared catalogue data and any other items listed as retained stay in place.

What does it cost?

One payment, based on the records that move. The free assessment of Attio gives you the exact count and price before you commit. Payment is by invoice, with no subscription.
