What comes across

Keep the data that matters to you.

Keep records connected

Keep deals linked to contacts and companies, and activities linked to their records in Salesforce CRM.

Your custom fields come with you

We find your custom fields in Attio CRM and plan how their values will travel to Salesforce CRM before migrating their records.

Bring your activity history

Your activity history arrives on the record it belongs to. This page names which types transfer and any limit on them.

Match owners, pipelines and stages

We match them to your Salesforce CRM users and stages.

Review changes before the run

The plan flags values that change during migration. The original value comes across beside the converted one.

Keep data with no matching field

Where possible, we create a field in Salesforce CRM for data with no matching field.

A Contacts plan showing standard fields, a custom field, usage percentages and migration switches.
Demo output. Our HubSpot demo uses synthetic records. This Contacts plan shows custom field usage and which fields will migrate. View at full size.

Needs setup or a plan change

How many custom fields Salesforce will hold per object depends on your edition

View detailsHide details

Salesforce caps custom fields per object, and the cap moves with your edition. An Attio workspace that has grown a lot of attributes of its own can exceed it.

Verified against help.salesforce.com

We count yours in the free assessment and show you the number against your edition's limit, so you can decide what to bring rather than find out during the run.

Attached files count against a fixed storage allowance in your Salesforce org

View detailsHide details

Salesforce gives an org a file storage allowance rather than charging per file, and your Attio workspace's attachments land inside it. A workspace with a lot of attached files can push an org over.

Verified against help.salesforce.com

We total the bytes in the free assessment so the number is in front of you before anything is written.

Moves with changes

Your notes and tasks share one pool of custom fields

View detailsHide details

Your Attio notes land as Salesforce tasks, and Salesforce gives activities one allocation of custom fields shared across tasks and events, up to 300, rather than one each. So the attributes you added to notes in Attio and the ones you added to tasks draw on that single allowance.

Verified against help.salesforce.com

The free assessment counts them together, which is how Salesforce counts them.

Every deal value arrives in one currency

View detailsHide details

Attio fixes a currency on the attribute rather than on the record, and its own reference says the code is shared among all values of that attribute and cannot be overridden for one record. So every deal value arrives in that one currency. If you traded in more than one, that is a thing to put right in Salesforce CRM afterwards rather than something this migration can recover.

Verified against docs.attio.com

Every figure comes across intact. If you traded in more than one currency, the code is the thing to put right afterwards.

Stays in the source CRM

Attio CRM has no call, email or meeting to hand over

View detailsHide details

Attio has no record for a call, an email or a meeting. What it keeps instead is a handful of interaction attributes on a person or a company, first and last email, and first, last and next calendar event. Those are timestamps the Attio system maintains and nothing can write, which is a different thing from a history of who spoke to whom. So there is nothing to hand over, and Salesforce CRM's calls, emails and meetings will be empty of anything from before the migration.

Verified against docs.attio.com

Your notes, your tasks and the files attached to your records are the history that does come with you.

Nobody owned your companies

View detailsHide details

Attio's writeable attributes for a company carry no owner. Ownership lives on the deal in Attio. So Salesforce CRM's owner field on those records has nothing in your workspace to read, and you decide who inherits them rather than us guessing.

Verified against docs.attio.com

You name who inherits them rather than us guessing, and every other field on those records comes across.

FAQ

Questions about moving Attio CRM to Salesforce CRM

What happens to my call and meeting history?

There is none to move, and the reason is Attio's shape rather than ours. Attio has no record for a call, an email or a meeting. What it keeps instead is a handful of interaction timestamps on a person or a company, first and last email and first, last and next calendar event, which the Attio system maintains and nothing can write. So there is nothing to hand over one at a time. Salesforce has a place for calls, emails and events, and it will be empty of your Attio history. Your notes and tasks come across in full.

Why do my notes land as tasks?

Because that is where they stay readable and reportable. Salesforce keeps a modern note as a file rather than as an activity, which puts the text out of reach of reports and list views. Landing your Attio notes as tasks on the record they belonged to keeps the text, the date and the record it was about, all of which a Salesforce report can see.

Will the attributes I added in Attio come across?

Yes. The free assessment finds them in your workspace, and they are created as custom fields on the matching Salesforce object before records are migrated. You see that on your plan before anything runs, and you can drop the attributes nobody fills in any more rather than carry them over.

What about the objects I added to my workspace?

Each one becomes a Salesforce custom object, with its records and the attributes you use on them. The free assessment counts them against your edition's object and field allowances before you commit.

What happens to my deal stages?

Your deals are routed onto the opportunity stages your Salesforce org already has rather than into new ones we create, matched by what each stage meant. Attio keeps one ordered list, so there is one set of stages to place rather than several funnels. A stage with nowhere to go is named before the run rather than discovered during it.

Who owns my accounts and contacts afterwards?

Attio models ownership on the deal and has no owner on a company or a person, so there is nothing in your workspace to fill the Salesforce owner field on those records. Your deal owners come across and are matched to your Salesforce users by email. On accounts and contacts you name who they should belong to, rather than us inventing an answer.

What about products and the value on my deals?

An Attio deal carries a single value rather than priced lines, and Attio ships no catalogue object, so there is no price book and there are no opportunity line items to bring. The value on each deal comes across. One thing worth knowing is that an Attio workspace holds one currency per attribute rather than one per record, so every opportunity arrives in that same currency.

Do I have to build a field map?

No. We work out what each value becomes, so nobody builds a field map. You review the plan before the migration runs. An Attio attribute with no native home in Salesforce can be brought along as a new field instead of being left behind.

Who actually runs the migration?

We run the migration and stay reachable. Connect Attio for the free assessment and price, then Salesforce to complete the plan. Nothing moves until you ask.

Can I keep working in Attio while this happens?

Yes. We only read Attio and never write back to it. Keep working while you check the results, then bring across the latest changes before switching over.

What if the result is not what I expected?

You can undo the migration, correct the issue and run again. Created fields, shared catalogue data and any other items listed as retained stay in place.

What does it cost?

One payment, based on the records that move. The free assessment of Attio gives you the exact count and price before you commit. Payment is by invoice, with no subscription.
